AUTHORSHIP DISPUTE RESOLVED AMIDST ETHICAL CONCERNS

A complex authorship dispute unfolded at Journal X, involving authors A and B, prompting intervention from editors and publishers. Initially, author A unilaterally removed author B's name from two accepted manuscripts, citing personal conflicts. Despite author A's request for exclusion, editors reinstated author B based on original authorship agreements.

Subsequently, author B raised concerns about potential removal from additional manuscripts. Investigations revealed author B's pivotal role as senior author and author A's subordinate position. Notably, one manuscript was redirected to Journal Y, where author B's removal occurred without due process.
