The eagerly anticipated Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2023 have been released, featuring a staggering 1,799 universities spanning across 104 countries and regions. This year's rankings mark the largest and most diverse compilation to date.
Powered by 13 meticulously calibrated performance indicators, the rankings evaluate institutions across four key areas: teaching quality, research output, knowledge transfer, and international engagement.
A comprehensive analysis encompassed over 121 million citations from over 15.5 million research publications, supplemented by insights from a global survey of 40,000 scholars. In total, more than 680,000 data points were collected from over 2,500 participating institutions.
